Kissing Cousins

Jerry and his cousin David (Jerry on the right and David on the left) have always been pretty close.... Isn't that the sweetest picture ever? (Sorry, boys!)

They are just four months apart and grew up making trouble together. Fun times at the Dolley house in the country; shooting off firecrackers at the pond, looking for gold under the house and snipe hunting to name a few. Jerry remembers climbing the avocado tree in their great grandmothers backyard, eating mustard sandwiches and looking for Disneyland together (this was in L.A.)

When we got pregnant with our third baby, Luke, we found out a little while later that David and Nicole were going to have their first baby shortly after. And then we found out that my cousin, Jennifer (and hubby Nelson), was going to have her first baby, too! (Jen and I are two months apart and were also very close growing up.) Jerry and I were so excited that our baby boy was going to have a cousin on either side of the family that was the same age. And it just happened that we all had boys!

David and Nicole live a little farther than we would like. It's hard to always get together for birthdays, etc. So, here's to Colin... Happy Birthday, sweet boy!

The picture of Jerry and David is classic. I wonder if they are kissing under that avacodo tree....

I’m sure we will be seeing you guys sooner than later, since we missed you all on Thanksgiving.

Please have Jerry post the recipe for them mustard sandwiches--sounds delicious!!
