We had big plans. Maybe even fish for dinner. But then reality set in.... Luke is two and he has no patience for such things. I want to fish NOW! And it was said in quite a loud voice (over and over.) So that if there were any fish, they would surely be scared away. Cole's patience for fishing wasn't much better.
Grace was hungry and ate her lunch by about 10 AM. (So did Luke.) She did give fishing a try - longer than anyone else! We made the best of our day and our surroundings, but Grace ended up back at school for the last two hours.
Needless to say, they stopped asking to go fishing. I guess we got that out of our systems!

There used to be tons of perch at the park. You can drop your pole in and catch these little tiny fish that although you couldn't eat, the kids had fun actually catching them. We haven't been there in a while so I'm not sure if they still have such a large population. You could see them swimming at the edge waiting for the salmon eggs. Our poles are collecting dust at the moment. Our kids have stopped asking too...some day!
