You might remember that this year we made a switch from your traditional public school to a charter Montessori school. It's about a 20 minute drive, but it's proven to be a good move. Grace didn't fit into the public school "box", if you will. But working at her own independent pace seems to fit the bill. And I just happen to love the small school environment.
Don't get me wrong, we still have plenty of drama over homework and the dreaded subject of math!! Oh, and then there was the drama of signing up to sing in the talent show. Grace followed through with it, but not without dragging a few friends up on stage for moral support. We were proud of her and we all had fun (despite the rain!)
She's headed into 4th grade, which is freaking me out just a bit. Time's going too fast I tell ya! But for now, the stresses of school (and math) are hopefully floating away in the pool. We're working on multiplication and the dreaded division this summer, but the majority of her time is spent water-logged!
The subject she excels in is getting a workout this summer - and no, it's not swimming... it's socializing :)

Isn't it a major relief to know that scary decision(at the time)worked out? Whew! I'm so glad that it's been a good change for you all.
